Leonardo Fernandes Fraceto Fraceto, L.F.(Universidade Estadual Paulista); Due the excessive use of active ingredients in agriculture, numerous problems have arisen, such as water contamination, effects on non-target organisms and the increasing in pest resistance. Nanotechnology has the potential to overcome the challenges in crop protection, and in this scenario, nanopesticides can control agricultural pests and increase farm productivity with a decrease in environmental impacts. In this way, in this talk we will show developments in nano-based pesticides with emphasis in the mechanism of action and toxicity as well as the perspectives and challenges to this field in order to promote a more sustainable agriculture.
