Laura Beatriz Steren

She received a M.S. degree in Physics from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and PhD degree in Physics from the Instituto Balseiro, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. After a three-year postdoctoral position at the Unite Mixte de Physique CNRS-Thales, Orsay (France),  she started an independent career at the Laboratorio de Resonancias Magneticas (Bariloche, Argentina). Laura Steren joined the Department of Condensed Matter at the Centro Atomico Constituyentes, Buenos Aires (CAC) in 2010 as a Principal Researcher CONICET. She is presently the Director of the Magnetic Nanostructures and Devices Laboratory at the Instituto de Nanociencia y Nanotecnologia- Buenos Aires  CNEA-CONICET (CAC)  and Professor at the Department of Physics, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her research interests include nanomagnetism,  spintronics and the design and fabrication of magnetic sensors for lab-on-a-chips
