Welcome Note

This conference will provide a venue for understanding nanotechnology and nanoparticles behavior in biological, chemical and environmental systems with the purpose to develop useful and sustainable applications of nanotechnologies throughout the Pan-American region. This conference will be the single best opportunity to reach the largest assemblage of participants from all over the globe. Learn more about nanotechnology and nanomaterials, networking and build relationships and partnerships in the field.

Conference Themes

I) Chemical and Biological-nano Interactions: On the chemistry side this session will focus on the interactions of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies exposed to different media and environmental chemistries.

II) Process Intensification and Nanomanufacturing: Various manufacturers are using nanotechnology to make products with improved capabilities or to reduce their manufacturing costs.

III) Nanodevices, nanosensors and Modeling - This session will focus on the technological capabilities of electronic, magnetic, mechanical, nanomaterials and biological systems that enable nanodevices and nanosensores as well as processes and “lab on a chip”.

IV) Environment and sustainability and education - This session will focus on interactions of nanomaterials or nanotechnologies with complex ecological systems, such as air, water, and soil. The bioaccumulation, fate, transport and interaction of nanostructured materials and nanosystems on ecosystems, such as air, water and soil will be relevant for this session.

V) Innovation, entrepreneurship - In this session there will be discussions on how to apply academic research to startups companies and industrial innovations.
